Deacon and Missions Coordinator |
Ann was ordained Deacon in May of 2009 and has served at All Saints’ since 2011. As the role of the Diaconate is to bring the concerns of the world to the attention of the church, Ann works closely with the Mission Committee to discern needs and how All Saints’ can offer time, talent, and treasure. Financial support of programs to help with feeding programs, disaster relief, and support for childhood development is crucial. In addition, many of the All Saints’ families serve as hands-on volunteers in a number of local organizations.
Ann and her choir member husband, Dwight, continue their work with the women of the Episcopal congregation at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility with correspondence and occasional visits. Both are very involved in the community life of Peekskill where they live. Grandchildren, many now launched in the world, bring much love into their homes. Birding in Cape May tops the list of fun activities. “It is a joy and a privilege to serve God and the community here at All Saints’. Join us, there is much to do to help our neighbors!” |
