Our Vestry

Jeffrey Altabef

Picture

Warden

In prior lives, Jeff was an attorney and an investment banker. He’s now an award-winning novelist focused on commercial fiction. All of his books have a fantasy bend. For some reason, he’s always surprised when people don’t believe him.

He’s served many different roles at All Saints’ Church and is currently on the Vestry. Most of the time he’s in a good mood, but he is an avid Knick fan, so during hoop season he’s prone to periods of melancholy!

Ginny Loughlin

Picture

Warden

Ginny arrived at All Saints’ in 1999. She’s a lifelong Episcopalian, having been baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Mary’s in Scarborough. She and her husband, John, lives in Ossining, where they raised their daughter, Emily. She has sung in choirs, served as Sunday School teacher and director, warden, been a Bible study leader and writer, and contributed to communications efforts, grant writing, and outreach. She is also a founding member of the organizing committee for REPAIR (Rivertowns Episcopal Parishes Action on Inclusion and Race).

Outside of church, Ginny is a consultant, specializing in nonprofit leadership development, transition management, and community building and has served on the boards of Ossining MATTERS Education Foundation, the Ossining Public Library, The New York Community Trust-Westchester, and Westchester Women’s Advisory Board. She is an enthusiastic runner and cyclist and enjoys spending time gardening and reading.

Grace O'Shaughnessy

Clerk of the Vestry

Grace (she/her) grew up Episcopalian in the Hudson Valley and embraces a thoughtful, curious faith that values questions as much as answers. She finds joy in being part of vibrant, welcoming spaces where people of all backgrounds can connect, and in creating opportunities for her children to explore, play, and grow.

A social worker by profession, Grace works in healthcare, focusing on expanding access to resources and enhancing well-being within the community.

Grace lives in Ossining with her husband, two young children and Wheaton terrier.

Erin Amador

Picture

Vestry Member

Erin is grateful for to be joining the vestry of this wonderful community at All Saints’. Never lacking in opinions, she hopes to use hers to help make an already great place an even better one.

These days, Erin is usually caring for her two delightful young children (who are also full of opinions!) with her husband Jordan, and sneaking in time for reading, writing, drinking coffee before it's cold, or listening to true crime podcasts. She’s also a photographer, and you may see her at All Saints’ events with a camera from time to time.

Donald Borho

Vestry Member

I was born and raised in Briarcliff 5th of 6 kids. Attended Briarcliff Schools and College of Westchester. Owned Wondrous Things for 35 years. I enjoy travel and pets. I have enjoyed being a part of the All Saints’ fellowship and being a member of the choir.

Pamela Borowic

Picture

Vestry Member

Pam and her husband Paul came to All Saints twenty-four years ago, was received shortly thereafter and raised their son here. She has served as a Sunday School teacher, member of Bagels and Books, leader of Altar Guild, a vestry member, and warden. She served on committees in search of a rector, and is a member of our Care Committee.

Outside of church, Pam retired from teaching and is now running her own tutoring program. She volunteers in a environmental non-profit and knits for Phelps Hospital patients. She is an enthusiastic swimmer, and enjoys spending time knitting, reading, traveling when she can and doing puzzles!

Fiona Matthew

Picture

Vestry Member

Fiona was born and raised in the Anglican church in South Africa. She emigrated to the United States midway through university, and was a member of St Mary’s in Scarborough for many years before joining All Saints'. The love, joy and embracing of people of all backgrounds at All Saints is an much-valued part of her life.

Fiona and her partner, Lisa, celebrated their commitment ceremony at All Saints' back before gay marriage was legal. The Bishop had to grant Father Tim special permission and the commitment was not allowed to be entered in the register, but the ceremony and reception were magnificent, and Fr. Tim wrote a beautiful piece for the Episcopal newspaper.

Fiona lives in Sleepy Hollow and is a grant writer.

Jim Relyea

Picture

Vestry Member

Jim Relyea has a long history with All Saints’, starting in the early 1970’s when his family first joined the congregation and continuing intermittently until 2000 when he resumed full-time participation as an active member of the parish. From 2000 to the present, Jim, his wife Betsey and their family have included All Saints’ in their most important moments: their daughters’ weddings, their grandchildren’s baptisms, and, sadly, a funeral.

Jim now serves as co-chairman of the Stewardship Committee, the Christmas Raffle Committee, Poetry Corner, and Lunch & Learn and is an active participant on the Outreach Committee, the Trunk or Treat Committee and the Living with Cancer Group. He is fully committed to helping All Saints’ grow and prosper in the coming years.

Elena Simon

Picture

Vestry Member

Elena, a lifelong New Yorker, moved with her family to Briarcliff Manor in 2020.

Now retired, she served as Associate Dean of the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU for many years, where she also taught cultural history of the arts of New York City, and, every summer in London, a sister course on the arts and museums of London. She set up an honors program, a Student Affairs operation, and directed a summer program in London for Tisch students. Later, she was Dean for Academic Administration at the Bard Graduate Center for the Decorative Arts, Design History, and Material Culture in NYC.

In between,
she worked at the New-York Historical Society, and wrote and presented cultural pieces on air for the Metro Channel. Discovering All Saints has been an unexpected blessing and gift. At All Saints', Elena is a member of the Poets' Corner, and the Stewardship, Outreach, Pastoral Care, and Trunk and Treat Committees.
