The Rev. Jessie Turnier

Priest-in-Charge

Rev. Jessie Turnier is a cradle Episcopalian and self-described “spiritually fluid” follower of Christ who finds deep joy in liturgy, community organizing, and preaching. Her ministry has included chaplaincy work, and her formation has been deeply influenced by the Catholic Worker Movement—especially its core values of radical hospitality, justice, and nonviolence.

Jessie is married to Reggie Turnier, director of Cultural Capital Haiti, an organization that supports grassroots initiatives addressing Haiti’s most urgent challenges by drawing on its rich cultural traditions. Reggie is also a trainer with the Haitian Machete Fencing Project, a musician, writer, and the proud author of his recently released first book. He is also an amazing stay-at-home dad to their daughter, Emma.
