"He that sings prays twice." —St. Augustine
The All Saints' Choir leads worship in song every Sunday morning. Comprised of 12 volunteer singers, they sing choir anthems for the offertory and (at least) four hymns per service. The choir sings at every Sunday service from September to June singing up to 50 anthems per year. In addition, the choir sings for special services such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, or during Holy Week. They are a very hard-working bunch! Choir rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7pm. All are welcome to join, regardless of experience level. If you have a passion for singing and community, the choir is a great option to get involved at All Saints'! All Saints' has a Gress-Miles organ built in 1968. The organ case is on the left side of the crossing, above the sacristy. It has 20 ranks of pipes in three divisions: Great, an enclosed Swell, and Pedal. It is a marvel of Edward Gress' ingenuity for space efficient organ design, carefully reusing pipes for multiple stops and shortening the top octave of the ranks to save space in the tight organ chamber. The organ sounds warm and full in the room and leads hymns excellently.
The organ was later altered in 2004 when the console was moved to the right side of the crossing, where the choir now sits. |
