Still Listening

by Theresa Kilman

For as long as I can remember, my four kids have pooled their birthday and Christmas gift cards to share music with each other through an ITunes account.

A Christmas Story

by Janice Landrum

Mother Yejide’s sermon today on angels reminded me of an awe-inspiring conversation I had on Monday.  It seems so relevant to the season that I wanted to share it.

Welcome

by Kirsten Bakis

Matthew 10: 42 “and whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple--truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward.”

Jesus Raises Lazarus: Meditation on a Miracle

by Kirsten Bakis

Opening the Door for Faith

by Jeff Altabef

Life in lower Westchester sometimes feels like we are running on a treadmill that gets faster as the girls get older.

What's in a Name?

by Ginny Loughlin

The segment that caught my eye when I read this morning’s Gospel verses this time was the importance of naming. “But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all students. And call no one your father on earth, for you have one Father-- the one in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Messiah.” (Matthew 23: 8-10)

When everything seems hopeless, God brings us hope

by Emily Loughlin

“...[F]or he is at my right hand so that I will not be shaken; therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; moreover my flesh will live in hope.” (Acts 2:25-26)

Everything can be good.  Or good can come of it in any event.
