The Wardens and Vestry of All Saints’ are pleased to announce that they have called the Reverend Shawn Duncan to serve as our Interim Rector, for a period of between 12 and 24 months. He began his ministry at All Saints’ on September 1^st, 2009.

The Rev. Shawn Duncan brings seventeen years of experience in ordained ministry to his new position as Interim Pastor at All Saints' Church.  He has previously served in three dioceses, most recently as Rector of Trinity Church in Hamburg, New York, a Buffalo suburb.  Father Shawn is married to the Rev. Victoria Duncan who was recently called to lead the Office of Transition Ministries for the Episcopal Church at the Episcopal Church Center in Manhattan.  Father Shawn and Mother Tori are blessed with two daughters: Sarah, age 14, and Anne, age 12.

Father Shawn was born in Southern California and was led to Christ through the ministry of the Chaplains at the U.S. Air Force Academy.  As a Deputy to the recent General Convention he served on the Evangelism Committee of the House of Deputies.  In the Diocese of Western New York he served as chair of the Mission Leadership and Management Team for the diocese, chaired the diocesan Constitution and Canons Committee, served on the Standing Committee and represented the bishop as Dean of his region.

In addition to ministry, Father Shawn loves spending time with his family and deeply enjoys a good book. His favorite book this year was Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Relin and his favorite books of all time are J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy.  Father Shawn also tries to find time to play the bagpipes.
